Our Wedding Day Tips
If you want the best possible video you can get there are some things you can do to help us ensure that happens.
Keep us informed!
If there's anything happening in addition to the traditional formailities please let us know so we can do what we can to capture it! For example, if you're having a rehearsed dance for your bridal dance, special traditions during the ceremony and so on.
Background music during preparations
If we are to film you getting ready one thing to consider is background music. If you have background music or a tv etc playing when we are filming we will probably have to remove the original audio completely to remove that noise. If it helps you to relax or just to enjoy yourself more, do what you please, it's your wedding!
Showing up on time
This goes for the boys and the girls! Before the ceremony our time is limited as it is to get shots of the boys waiting for the bride to arrive, so if the boys show up late, it becomes near impossible. Furthermore, while we are always prepared for the bride to arrive at least a little bit late, if it gets beyond the 5-10minute mark it can affect a number of things. Firstly, we'll be standing around waiting for the bride when we should be filming, and secondly, it will also end up "eating into" time you should have for your formal photo session which obviously affects what your photographer can do for you also.

Reception lighting
Generally we prefer not to use video lights if possible during low light moments because we feel it detracts from the "natural flow" of the day. So it's a good idea to mention to your reception venue that you are having your reception filmed so if they could leave the lights on during all the formalities, we can ensure a better quality picture.
A little job for your MC
This little tip is handy not only for us but for your guests as well. Before any formalities commence, get your MC to give your guests a 5 minute warning. This way, not only can we ensure we can adequately set-up to film but your guests also have a chance to get to their seats, go to the bathroom if necessary and so on. In all honesty it doesn't look great if people are walking around during the speeches, and worse still, if some of them (especially important guests) aren't in the room when formalities commence (that has happened!)
